The Tam Dao Golf Resort is a top-notch course in Vietnam with a beautiful mountainous layout. Because of the weather, golfers feel more like they are playing in the Northeastern United States than tropical Asia. The Tam Dao Mountains, where the course is located, provide year-round cooling.
The Tam Dao Golf Course, which opened in 2007, was created to be the top golf course in Vietnam. Golfers were treated to a visual treat by golf course design company IMG, which utilised the local flora and fauna as well as the natural terrain contours. Each hole is framed by enormous mountains, giving the feeling that one is in the Alps or the Adirondacks. One of the most picturesque golf courses in Hanoi, the course winds through several lakes and streams. On the tee boxes and fairways, Sea Isle Paspalum is utilized, and Sea Isle 2000 Paspalum is used on the greens to create smooth and speedy putting surfaces. Different tee boxes accommodate golfers of all skill levels, and to shoot properly, both professionals and experienced amateurs must utilize every club in their bag from the back tees.
At Tam Dao Golf Resort, approach shots, many of which play to elevated and well-guarded greens, are crucial to scoring well. Golfers must lay up short of a water hazard that is 200 yards away on the par-5 first hole, or for long hitters, go for the green in two.
However, be cautious of the large tree in front and to the left of the green because shots that aren't far enough away frequently end up getting caught in the top branches. The second hole on the back nine is also difficult. The 353-yard, short par-4 plays to an elevated island green with a closely-mowed fringe and is surrounded on all sides by water. To avoid a watery penalty, the hazard necessitates an accurate second shot.
The dogleg par-5 tenth hole and the lovely uphill par-3 second hole at Tam Dao Golf Resort are some of the resort's other standout golf holes. Once more, both demand precise shots towards the green to avoid the challenging surroundings and hazards close to the green.
Playing Tam Dao was once a tremendous delight thanks to the exceptional golf course maintenance, which included double-cut fairways, white sand bunkers, and close-cut greens and fringes when it first opened. The current state of Tam Dao Golf Resort is deteriorating, and maintenance is careless. The clubhouse needs to be renovated because it is dilapidated. To be certain of the situation, give a local golf tour operator a call or inquire in advance.
Tam Dao Golf Resort will be a nice choice for all golfers who are looking for a Hanoi golf package.
