The 27-hole Hilltop Valley Golf Club is a magnificent mountainous layout, presenting a special challenge amidst the gorgeous surroundings of a mountain range with views of hills, valleys, and the Da River. It was created by IMG. The golf course is roughly 60 kilometers west of Hanoi and may be reached in less than 2 hours through paved roads. The global Geleximco conglomerate includes the Hilltop Valley project. In 2019, the first 18 holes will become available for use.
Hilltop Valley Golf Club has significant elevation variations from one location to another, unlike other golf courses in Vietnam. It creates a distinctive golf course with many memorable holes thanks to its varied topography, abundance of green space, and stunning views. The white sand bunkers and red rocky outcrops contrast with the lush green Paspalum grassed course. As the course ages, it will gain a solid reputation as a lovely and well-kept resort layout among Vietnam's golf courses. The greens made of Mini-Verde Bermuda grass are moderately undulating and maintained at this pace.
The Hilltop Valley Golf Club's initial nine holes include a majority of gentle valleys with soft curves that reflect errant shots into the fairway centers. These holes are designed for numerous pars with a few birdies and only contain minor bunker complexities. The back nine holes follow the mountain ridgeline.
A winding river that cuts through the valley on the Hilltop Valley Golf Club's par-five third hole makes it particularly difficult. Off the tee, the river runs down the left side and must be navigated twice before reaching the green. The second shot in golf gives the player the option of hitting a short shot to a narrow area of the fairway, leaving a close third to the green, or hitting a considerably longer approach that must cross the winding river twice, leaving a short pitch to the green from a better angle.
The 13th and 14th holes are two of the trickiest ones. The first one is a 200-yard par-3 across a valley to a green that is encircled by water. Any shot that is not completely accurate will be soaked or lost. The tee shot on the following hole at Hilltop Valley Golf Club plays down to the blind fairway, making it just as difficult.
Even more dramatic elevation changes can be seen in Holes 19–27, which provide stunning vistas of the surrounding countryside. The caddies at Hilltop Valley Golf Club are a great source of guidance. Numerous shots are like firing into the abyss while hoping for the best. Here is some local advice. Save your energy for the final few holes. It can be very exhausting for them to climb up and down the slopes at the end of the round.
The contemporary clubhouse at Hilltop Valley Golf Club is well-designed and offers stunning views of the 18th green. Most golfers' needs are met by posh lockers, a neighborhood restaurant, and a modest pro shop. In addition to the golf courses, a new city with a variety of sports, entertainment, and shopping venues, as well as hotels, villas, and resorts, will be built. The goal of Geleximco is to build an urban area and an integrated golf community outside of Hanoi.
