BRG Da Nang Golf Resort (previously Danang Golf Club), a top-notch links and resort course in Southeast Asia, debuted in 2010 and instantly shot to prominence after being named one of USA GOLF magazine's top 15 new courses. The BRG Da Nang Golf Resort has won numerous accolades, including the 2014 IAGTO Diamond Award and the 2012 Best Golf Course in Vietnam awards from USA Golf Digest and Asian Golf Monthly readers. The Nicklaus Course at BRG Danang debuted in 2018.
Every golfer will love the distinctive golf challenge at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort. There are plenty of fairways, a sparing use of water, and no off-limits areas. Bunkering, putting greens, and several natural waste areas have all been carved out of the nearby dunes. For golfers to have a chance to go for the pins on the undulating greens, shots must be placed correctly to increase their chances of scoring well. If you miss into the trees, you'll have to punch off the sand and pine needles along a safe line to get back into play because the fairways are also lined with and well defined by long-needled pines.
Greg Norman created the BRG Da Nang Golf Resort with The sandy loam soil of Danang Beach, a location with more history than golf, is used by the Dunes Course. The Vietnam Golf Club is situated close to the airfield and central supply depot used by the Americans during the conflict in the 1960s, as well as the beach where they made their initial arrival. The beach scenery here on the central coast of Vietnam is quite similar to that of the first courses of the globe. Mother Nature and golf architects both contributed to the design of the links-style golf experience.
In comparison to other Vietnam golf courses, BRG Da Nang Golf Resort is more exposed to the coast's winds. For instance, the par-3 16th hole frequently plays into a strong breeze and has the South China Sea as its backdrop, making club selection exceedingly challenging. The wind can significantly toughen the course when combined with the firm and quick greens.
The possibilities provided by the soil and grass conditions that permit low running bump and runs and putting from far off the greens give golfers who are used to links-style golf an advantage. On the BRG Da Nang Golf Resort, creative shot-making is advantageous.
Great White Shark Norman from Australia has designed a special course in Vietnam that is reminiscent of both Scottish links golf and sand-belt courses in Australia.
