An Bang beach is one of the remaining undeveloped expanses of beach in Hoi An, making it a popular spot for sunbathing and seaside sports. It also has a number of beachside resorts, seafood restaurants, and hippie bars with breathtaking views of the Marble Mountains, Da Nang Bay, and the Da Nang and Cham Islands. Sunbed rentals range from VND 20,000 to VND 50,000 at most eateries, but they're free if you eat there.
Swimming, paddle-boarding, and surfing are among the most popular activities at An Bang Beach. If you want to learn to surf during your visit, An Bang Beach's expat surfing community offers a variety of board rentals, surf, and stand-up paddling programs. From September to March, the surf season offers outstanding wave conditions, a pleasant atmosphere, and an average water temperature of 25°C.
An Bang Beach also offers a variety of inexpensive dining options, including fresh seafood and Vietnamese BBQ, as well as authentic Italian and French cuisine. Soul Kitchen, La Plage, and White Soul, for example, are open till late and provide vibrant events, themed nights, happy hour promotions, strong cocktails, cool beers, and a broad soundtrack.
An Bang Beach is located seven kilometers north of Hoi An Ancient Town and is easily accessible by bicycle or motorcycle. The cost of parking at the beach's entrance is VND 15,000 for the entire day. Alternatively, a five-minute cab ride will set you back around VND 90,000.
