West Lakes Golf & Villas, an 18-hole professional golf course with excellent maintenance, debuted in 2018. One of the first golf courses in South Vietnam to use the exceptionally forgiving Zeon Zoysia grass fairways was The Bermuda grass used for the greens is of the Tifeagle breed, which creates authentic rolling and quickly running putting surfaces. The West Lakes Golf & Villas was designed by Peter Thomson, the founder and five-time British Open champion, who popularized the Thomson Perrett. The course's 7100-yard length is accentuated by beautiful lakes on nearly every hole, wavy fairways, and deft bunkering—all hallmarks of Thomson Perrett and the regional implementation team.
Wide fairways and landing areas set the tone for the front nine at West Lakes Golf & Villas. More challenging and fascinating holes can be found on the back nine. Laying up on purpose short of the fairway and greenside bunker complexes is essential for good scoring at West Lakes. Golfers who are patient will reap the benefits, whereas aggressive hitters will have a lengthy day.
The clubhouse at West Lakes Golf & Villas has a sizable grass driving range attached to it, where players can practice while being observed from the main restaurant. The restaurant serves Western, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine, as well as fine dining alternatives and fast food for golfers. The clubhouse is completed by opulent locker rooms with jacuzzis, a well-stocked pro shop, and a bar. The F&B options at West Lakes are completed with on-course kiosks at holes #1, #6, and #14.
