Visit Sapa Love Market

On Saturday evenings, Sapa has a love market. It is where Sapa's young people go to locate a partner for marriage. The youthful Red Dzao hill tribe comes to Sapa every Saturday to sing songs and lure other sex.

The girls dress up in bright costumes with silver accents and small bells dangling from their necks. They are on the lookout for men dressed in traditional clothing in the same colors. During the day, they stand in groups, singing and dancing their traditional dances. The girl sings the melodies in the dark as darkness falls. The boy then locates them, and if they match, they disappear for three days into the forest. After that, several of them married. It's worth noting that the market isn't for buying or selling; rather, it's for courting and expressing love
