Thong Nhat Park (previously Lenin Park) is Hanoi's green lung, located near Hanoi Circus and roughly a 15-minute bike ride from the Old Quarter.
Thong Nhat Park, which was established in 1958, has been a green lung for Hanoi for more than 60 years. Aside from its primary purpose of providing pleasure to the people of Hanoi, the park also represents a desire to unite Vietnam at the time, as its name means "reunification." Thong Nhat Park, also known as Lenin Park, was established as a gesture of goodwill by the Vietnamese government to honor Lenin on his 110th birthday.
Thong Nhat Park is a relatively modest botanical park in comparison to other botanical parks across the world, but its total area of 50 hectares provides an outstanding play field as well as a training ground for locals' physical exercises and sports. As a result, strolling around and taking in the scenery while breathing in the fresh air is a fantastic idea. The park is surrounded by a large expanse of lush meadows, tall trees, and vibrant flowers. Thong Nhat Park is very popular in the summer, when people go there to escape the heat.
The park is not intended to serve as an amusement park. As a result, there aren't as many games or activities to choose from. However, children can still participate in activities such as mirror houses, driving jets, or riding trains.
Within Thong Nhat Park is a seven-hectare lake known as "Bay Mau Lake," where people can improve their health by sailing swan boats and enjoying the cool breeze. Couples may find the lake's stream to be the most peaceful and romantic place to be together.
