Thoi Son (Thai Son) Island has a tropical climate with warm and pleasant weather all year around, with fruit trees bearing plums, mangoes, and longans that line the path through the island. The island is a 1,200-hectare island located downstream of the Tien River, about 20 minutes by boat from My Tho City, located in Chau Thanh District, Tien Giang Province.
The island is completely cloaked in the greenery of fruit tree gardens. Tourists will remember the pleasure of riding in a small boat along the ditches and channels while being surrounded on two sides by ban trees, water coconut trees, and fruit tree gardens. Tourists can go to the island via the Rach Mieu Bridge, which connects the island to My Tho city.
Tourists visiting Thoi Son Island will be able to enjoy not only the beautiful scenery and luscious fruits, but also honey tea, a unique drink of this area, learn how to make coconut candy, knit, and visit showrooms displaying handcrafted products created from coconut palms. The sweet vocals of Don Ca Tai Tu singers will linger in the minds of visitors.
The ecological and wild activities offered by the Thoi Son Island Tourism Area, such as bailing out water to catch fish, staying overnight on the island, sightseeing by horse-drawn carriage, and so on, are also popular with visitors.
